OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

DOES NOT TURN ON

When an electric stove does not start, first ensure the stove power cord is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are switched on. You should check the pilot light on gas stoves. If the oven is plugged in and the pilot light is on in the oven, that means some other part will need to be replaced. The reason for the issue might be an infinite switch, surface element, igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN WON’T HEAT

A stove or burner without produce heat does not do much good. Your oven won’t heat when there’s a broken oven sensor or bake element. A burner will not heat if an element breaks or the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We know how to fix these issues in under 1-2 hours after we arrive.

PROGRAM PROBLEMS

It is reasonable to assume the control board on a stove or oven is broken if the program or timer functions do not work. If that is the case, we are able to repair control panels for GE, LG, Sears, Kenmore, KitchenAid and many other brands of stoves, ovens and ranges.

OVEN IS VERY HOT

You should have a hot oven. But not too hot! When the heat is too hot, it might be due to a broken thermostat or sensor. Our technicians are able to diagnose the cause of the issue and then fix it. But be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of skin burns from the very high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

A common stove issue is times where an igniter glows but it will not light. The cause is from either a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or temperature sensor. We can determine if we can repair these appliance parts or if we will need to replace the part.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

Modern self-cleaning ovens are known to experience door issues. The door does not open after the cleaning cycle. We inspect the door closure, thermostat and seal to identify why the door does not open and then we complete the repair so we can correct the issue.
